Site Objectives
The objective of our site is to provide useful tools and reference documents in
support of positioning systems
development, application engineering and
end user training.
This site includes numerous interactive web forms, developed by Optinet inc. The
tools allow users to enter parameters which define their need, such as
motion profiles and accuracy. They may also include design parameters, such as
Abbe offsets, component specifications, such as rail stiffness and operation
variables, such as maximum acceleration. At a click of a button, the tools
then provide a list of output variables, such as throughput, 3D accuracy,
reliability,
life and estimated cost, which characterize system cost / performance. The tools
may therefore be useful in comparing cost / performance of several
machine configurations and positioning components, assisting the decision
making process of selecting the most cost / effective solution for the
application.
